Flying to London

It’s not as expensive as you might think. If you plan ahead and use low cost carriers like Easyjet or Ryanair. Check the baggage costs carefully with bargain flights, as if you don’t follow instructions to the letter the costs can rocket. It is well worth looking at Expedia for good deals.

Car share

Why not be green and save yourself some money? Give somebody a lift or share with somebody who is driving. You can try to pair up here on the Festival’s Fetlife group.

Hotels

Here is another area for some bargains as the weak pound and the recession take their toll. Either buy your flight and hotel as a combined deal or get discounted accommodation in sites like Hotels.com. I have also heard good reports about Days Hotel in Shoreditch, which is quite close (see map above) and has some good on-line deals.

Hostelbookers offers even cheaper hostel type accommodation.

House guests
