About
Festival of the Art of Japanese Bondage presents kinbaku (aka shibari/Japanese rope bondage) as an artistic inspiration, a performance art in its own right and as a means of erotic communication, whilst sharing knowledge about it and its cultural context in a way that is accessible to all. We present an unparalleled range of talent from around the world and are rapidly establishing a reputation as the Japanese bondage event.
The main venue will be the Resistance Gallery. This is an unique, multi-functional, modern, 2,200sq ft arts, performance & gallery space in the creative heart of Bethnal Green, London E8. They provide art exhibition space, theatre, avant-garde gatherings, cabaret, photographic shoots, filming & video location, live music events, multi media installation experiences, workshops etc.
Club Subversion at Hub, 2 Goulston Street, London, E1 7TP are holding their monthly party from 10pm to 5am. We are delighted they will be part of the big weekend and many of us will be going on there on Saturday night. Spread across three floors, two large playrooms and a separate dance floor. They will have extra bondage frames and performances throughout the night. Strict fetish dress code. Friendly and fun. Tickets only £10 (half door price) for those who attending the festival (buy your tickets through this site or bring confirmation that you have bought tickets for one of the other events over the weekend) – for more information go to www.clubsubversion.com
We would like to thank Club Crimson for generously providing us with the use of their legendary bondage frames. Crimson is a new and very popular London fetish/BDSM play club with a top class array of dungeon furniture that specialises in playing the best rock, metal and alternative music.
